PETITION AGAINST FALSE CLAIMS AND PURPORTED RESULTS OF THE IBADAN SOUTH EAST/IBADAN NORTH EAST FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY PRIMARY ELECTION
We, concerned party members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East Federal Constituency, respectfully write to draw the attention of the National Leadership of our great party to a misleading open letter currently circulating in the public domain regarding the House of Representatives Primary Election allegedly conducted on 16th May 2026.
We wish to state categorically that the purported results contained in the said letter do not reflect the reality of events that occurred on the said date. Contrary to the claims made therein, no valid primary election was conducted across the wards of Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East Federal Constituency on 16th May 2026.
It is therefore surprising that certain individuals have presented figures and results purportedly obtained from an election that did not hold in the various wards of the constituency. The publication of such figures has created confusion among party members and has the potential to tarnish the image of our great party.
We respectfully urge the National Working Committee to disregard the alleged results being circulated and to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the claims. The integrity of our party’s electoral process must be protected, and only verified facts should be recognized by the party leadership.
As loyal members of APC, our commitment remains the unity, progress, and success of our great party under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We believe that justice, fairness, and due process are essential to sustaining confidence in our party’s democratic processes.
We therefore appeal to the National Leadership of APC to take urgent steps to investigate this matter and ensure that only authentic and verifiable records are recognized regarding the Ibadan South East/Ibadan North East Federal Constituency primary process.
