As part of his administration’s quest for massive development in Ona Ara local government, Hon. Musibau Sanusi, popularly known as Shaba on Thursday, commissioned three projects to the admiration of the residents.
The outgoing chairman during the commissioning received many commendations from community leaders, including traditional rulers for his profound achievement since he came on board.
The chairman commissioned six blocks unit of toilet in two primary schools namely Islamic Primary School, Araromi and Community Primary School, Olosako Palupo, in Ward 2 and Ward 5 respectively.
The two projects was built and implemented by the UNICEF and RUSSAWA respectively.
Hon. Sanusi while commisioning the UNICEF donated toilets and industrial borehole constructed by its administration at Islamic Primary School, Araromi expressed his appreciation to UNICEF for citing twenty seven projects in Ona Ara.
On the maintenance of the industrial borehole, the chairman, who was flanked by the Alararo of Araromi Aperin, Oba Mudashiru Obisesan, community leaders and council’s functionaries, enjoined the residents of Araromi to imbibe the culture of ownership mentality.
Addressing staff management, pupils and stakeholders, including traditional rulers at Community Primary School, Olosako Palupo, Hon. Sanusi recalled his involvement in community development even before he became the local government chairman, adding that through this effort, he derived needed impetus to work for the progress of Ona Ara local government, especially in the area of education.
He charged the residents of the community to ensure that they return the Peoples Democratic Party to power in the local government election on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
In his continuous bid to increase the tempo of security in the local government, Hon. Sanusi also commissioned and handover the Thywill security post, newly built to the operatives of the Operation Burst.
At a well gathering event, which was attended by traditional rulers, community leaders politicians, market men and women, security agencies, and representatives from thirteen communities within Akanran, Hon. Sanusi stated his administration zero tolerance for insecurity.
He thanked members of Police Community Relation Committee in Akanran for their efforts and contribution to the building of the security post.
The chairman urged every resident to report any issue that may affect the security wellbeing of the area to the local government for prompt action.
Shaba said his administration would inaugurate and flag off more projects before his tenure ends on May 27.
He said one of such projects, is the flag off the traditional council hall. This according to him, is in recognition of special roles of traditional rulers in the local government.
The outgoing chairman used the occasion to impress it on the residents of Ona Ara local government to ensure that the chairmanship candidate of the PDP wins the local government election for continuity.
