At the heart of the hitch-free exercise was the proactive leadership of the Rector, Dr. (Mrs.) Basilia Nkemdilim Igbokwe, whose timely interventions and unwavering commitment ensured that all logistical and technical concerns were addressed well ahead of the examination period.

Her strategic support provided the foundation upon which every operational unit worked effectively. From facility readiness to technical coordination and administrative oversight, the Rector’s hands-on leadership created the enabling environment that made the smooth conduct of the national examination possible.

The examination was conducted under the close supervision of officials of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), who were deployed to the centre to guarantee compliance with national examination standards and uphold the integrity of the process.

A major pillar of the success recorded during the examination was the exceptional performance of the Polytechnic’s ICT Directorate. Led by the Director of ICT, Mrs. Ugochukwu-Ibe Mary Ijeoma, the technical team worked tirelessly to ensure stable system uptime, seamless biometric verification, and uninterrupted operations throughout the examination period.

Their round-the-clock vigilance eliminated the system disruptions and technical glitches often associated with large scale CBT examinations, thereby ensuring a calm, orderly, and candidate-friendly environment.

Speaking after the exercise, Mr. Eze, a parent who accompanied his ward to the centre, commended the remarkable coordination between the Rector’s Office and the ICT Directorate. According to him, the level of preparedness witnessed at Federal Polytechnic Nekede distinguished the institution from many other examination centres.

He noted that the smooth conduct of the examination reflected the Polytechnic’s growing reputation as a great institution capable of handling national assignments of significant magnitude.

Parents, stakeholders, and observers also expressed satisfaction with the orderly conduct of candidates, the professionalism of officials, and the efficiency of the verification process.

Under the visionary administration of Dr. (Mrs.) Basilia Nkemdilim Igbokwe, the Polytechnic continues to advance its image as a preferred destination for academic excellence and national service delivery.

The 2026 JAMB exercise was more than an examination, it was another strong statement that Federal Polytechnic Nekede remains fully prepared, fully capable, and fully committed to excellence at every level.
