After months of speculation and political suspense, media entrepreneur and politician, Oloye Taofeek Adegboyega Adegoke, popularly known as Solution has formally pitched his tent with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as he positions himself for the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.
Mr Adegoke who previously sought the senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 general elections, had kept political observers guessing about the platform he would adopt for his next political move.
His long-anticipated decision appears to have finally been unveiled as large campaign billboards announcing his governorship ambition have begun appearing in strategic locations across Ibadan, the state capital.
The development effectively puts to rest months of speculation surrounding the political vehicle he intends to use in pursuing the state’s top job in 2027.
Mr Adegoke, a media entrepreneur with growing influence in political communication circles, had since early last year been linked with a possible governorship bid. His increasing visibility at political and social engagements across Oyo State had further fueled discussions about his ambition.
Political watchers say his decision to align with the ADC may signal an attempt to build an alternative political force in the state ahead of the next electoral cycle, particularly as conversations about succession politics gradually gather momentum.
Although the 2027 governorship election is still some distance away, early political alignments and subtle campaign moves have already begun to shape the emerging contest among major political actors in the state.
Adegoke, WesternLifeNewsNG reliably gathered that he is yet to formally declare his membership of ADC and his candidacy, but the appearance of campaign billboards and his new political affiliation are widely interpreted as the clearest indication yet of his intention to join the party and race.
