The family of late Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his first daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi.

News of her passing broke early Thursday, March 27, 2025, confirming that she died in the United Kingdom after a brief illness. She was 42 years old.

Bisola was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s business and political landscape. She served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and played a key role in the country’s economic policy development.

She was also an entrepreneur, serving as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading FMCG retail and wholesale chain, and the founder of the luxury fashion brand, Florence H. Luxury.

Married to Ibadan-born politician and banking executive Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Bisola was a devoted wife and mother to three children. Her husband expressed his grief in an emotional tribute, saying, “The world has lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children.”

Her passing is a great loss to her family, business associates, and the wider community. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
