The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will no longer support Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara in his political journey.
Wike made this statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, accusing Fubara of spreading falsehoods about him.
Wike, who played a significant role in Fubara’s rise to power, expressed his disappointment, stating, “I will never support Fubara in my political life again.”
He explained that many people worked hard to establish the political structure that Fubara now benefits from, adding that without their efforts, Fubara wouldn’t have stood a chance.
Wike further alleged that the governor falsely claimed he was making financial demands of N50 billion to N100 billion.
“You turned up lies against me. I brought you up and put you in this position, but now I’m being portrayed as over-demanding, Wike said.
The fallout marks a significant strain in the relationship between the two political figures, with Wike making it clear that he will no longer be part of Fubara’s political future.
