Prince Kola Musbau Asatola Asanike, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has successfully passed the party’s screening exercise ahead of the 2027 governorship primaries.

The screening, held at the Kaduna State House in Asokoro, Abuja, featured aspirants from different parts of Oyo State who appeared before the panel to present their credentials, party records, and service history as part of the requirements for participation in the race.

According to him, the orderly conduct of the screening reflects the party’s commitment to justice, equity, and due process.

“The exercise was straightforward and conducted in an atmosphere of orderliness. I commend the panel for upholding fairness and due process. It gives aspirants confidence that the party is committed to transparency,” he said.

The Ibadan prince and grassroots mobiliser stressed that his major concern remains the unity of the APC and the emergence of a candidate through a fair and acceptable process.

“What is primary with me is achieving peace within the party and winning the state primaries. My expectation is fairness and equity in the process of picking the candidate. We must stay away from actions that may create disaffection among party members,” Asanike added.
