Deji Aboderin Steps Down Ambition, Declares Support For Ganiyat Omookuorun

Former Special Adviser to late Governor Abiola Ajimobi and former APC candidate for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the 2019 general election, Hon. Deji Aboderin, has announced his decision to step down his political ambition in support of Hon. Ganiyat Olawore Omookuorun.

Aboderin, a respected chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the declaration as part of efforts to strengthen party unity and consolidate support ahead of the forthcoming elections for the Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency seat.

Speaking on his decision, Aboderin described Ganiyat Omookuorun as a capable and credible leader with the experience and vision needed to effectively represent the constituency at the federal level.

He noted that his endorsement was driven by the collective interest of the party and the desire to ensure victory for the APC.

According to him,  the decision was made after wide consultations with supporters and stakeholders.

He further urged his supporters and party loyalists across Ibadan North East and South East to rally behind Omookuorun in order to achieve a common goal of quality representation and sustainable development for the constituency.

In her response, Ganiyat Omookuorun appreciated the gesture and described Aboderin’s support as a major boost to her aspiration. She commended his leadership, maturity, and commitment to the growth of the APC, assuring party members and constituents of inclusive representation if elected.

Political observers believe the alliance between both APC figures could significantly strengthen the party’s chances within the constituency.
