IBADAN – The Chief Executive Officer of A Moving Train Oil and Gas Limited, Lagos, Comrade David Ajibola, has paid glowing tribute to the President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Chief Dr. Salimon Akanni Oladiti, describing him as an exceptional leader, mentor and father figure whose prayers and encouragement have positively impacted many lives in the oil and gas industry.
Ajibola made the remarks in an interview with WesternLifeNewsNG on the sidelines of the 45th Founder’s Anniversary of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke Isegun, Ibadan, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, where Chief Oladiti, serves as the church’s Baba Ijo.
Reflecting on his relationship with the renowned labour leader and oil and gas magnate, Ajibola said Chief Oladiti has always treated him with affection and encouragement.
“Dr. Salimon Akanni Oladiti is a wonderful leader to all of us. Whenever he wants to call me, he doesn’t even call me by my name; he simply calls me ‘Moving Train.’ That alone shows the special relationship we share,” he said.
Ajibola recounted what he described as a life-changing encounter in Chief Oladiti’s office, where he received heartfelt prayers that were immediately followed by a major business breakthrough.
“I can never forget the day I visited his office. After he prayed for me, while I was still there, I received a call from a high-net-worth client who awarded my company a contract worth millions of naira. It remains one of the greatest testimonies of my career,” he recalled.
According to him, Chief Oladiti’s leadership extends beyond the boardroom and the labour movement, as he continually inspires younger entrepreneurs through mentorship, compassion and selfless service.
“He is truly a father to all of us in the oil and gas sector. His doors are always open, and he is always willing to encourage and uplift others,” Ajibola added.
He prayed for the continued good health, strength and wisdom of the NUPENG President, saying, “My prayer is that God will continue to preserve him, grant him sound health, long life, and endow him with greater wisdom to keep serving humanity and leading the industry with distinction.”
