The body of the late Ondo State former Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has been reportedly brought to Nigeria from Germany on Friday.
WesternLifeNewsNG recalls that Mr Akeredolu passed away on Friday, December 27, 2023 after protracted prostate cancer in Germany.
His remain was received by his wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, his children and immediate younger brother, Wole Akeredolu amid tears at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos.
Also present to receive the remains of Mr Akeredolu are the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his chief of staff, Tayo Ayinde, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, represented by the secretary to the state government, Tokunbi Talabi.
The secretary to the state government (SSG), Oladunni Odu led the delegation of the Ondo State Executive Council to receive the corpse.
Also on hand to receive the Corpse were the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Ade Adetimehin and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Gboyega Adefarati.
