The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has been reportedly tendered his resignation letter.
He was said to have send the letter to President Bola Tinubu when the latter was away to Kenya for Africa Union meeting. The chief of staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila received same on behalf of the president.
Adamu, was elected as the national chairman of the ruling party at its national convention held in March 2022.
Adamu’s resignation came ahead of the National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the party slated for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The meeting is expected to discuss critical issues affecting the party and probably iron out the controversy surrounding the recent national assembly leadership.
