Prince Adeniyi Lawal has commended residents of Ede for their peaceful conduct during the Osun State governorship election held on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Prince Lawal, who spoke with journalists in Ede shortly after casting his vote at Polling Unit 3, Ward 8, Ede North Local Government Area, described the election as peaceful and orderly.
He praised the people of Ede for maintaining peace and demonstrating maturity throughout the electoral process, saying residents of the town had continued to relate with one another as one people despite their political differences.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the election showed that political differences should not be allowed to divide the people or damage the existing bond among residents.
He urged the people of Ede to sustain the spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence beyond the election, stressing that the development of the community should remain a shared responsibility irrespective of political affiliation.
Lawal also expressed optimism that the peaceful conduct of the election would further strengthen democracy and promote unity among the people of Ede and Osun State at large.
