Dino Melaye, the spokesperson of 2023 Presidential candidates of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has been declared the winner of the PDP gubernatorial primary in Kogi State.
Malaysia, two term senator who represented Kogi West Senatorial district was announced the winner of the primary election held in Lokoja, the state capital on Sunday.
According to the returning Officer for the election, Melaye scored 313 votes. His closest rival, Idoko Idah garnered 124 votes while Awoniyi Sunday polled 77 votes.

Other participants of the exercise were Musa Wada, former deputy governor of the state Yomi Awoniyi, and former senator Attai Aidoko, Kebiru Usman, Abdullahi Haruna, Zakaria Alfa, Musa Wada, Bolu Femi, and Idoko Idah.
