Founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation and Asiwaju Adini of Ibadanland, Arc Hassan Olawale Giwa has been inducted into the Julius Nyerere Hall of Fame of Young African Professionals and Entrepreneurs (YAPE-AFRICA).
The presentation of induction award and certificate was performed on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 by the leadership of the group led by Engineer Abel Okewu.
The Young African Professionals and Entrepreneurs (YAPE-AFRICA) is a Pan African Youth League of young business individuals and professionals with core objectives of building the youth in leadership and entrepreneurship for the purpose of providing Africa with intellectually equipped youth to ensure a future Africa of our dream achieved through an integrated, peaceful and prosperous African driven by her citizens and representing a dynamic youth force in the international arena.
The induction letter presented by the group’s President, Engr. Okewu, stated that YAPE-AFRICA seeks to build the Ujamaa ideology of the great Pan-Africanist, Julius Nyerere, whose idea was to ensure that there is cooperation to provide for the essential of living.
“Building on this idea entails that Africa becomes a fully independent Economy and as Young African Professionals and Entrepreneurs it is our duty to keep the Ujamaa dream alive ensuring political and economic autonomy, self reliance and Africanization of businesses.”
Okewu disclosed that the induction of Arc Giwa was characterized by his exemplary lifestyle and ability to provide quality leadership.
According to him, “during the last YAPE-AFRICA general assembly, your name was brought to the front burner by our Nigeria’s representatives as a man with an exemplary lifestyle and great ability to provide leadership, which we have seen you demonstrated as the Chief Executive Officer of Amron Global Limited, where you constantly delivering world class services in the real estate sector.
“The impact of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation on educational development, youth empowerment, and charity to the less privileged remains outstanding and remarkable, all these you have done with integrity and transparency which is worth of emulation by young professionals and entrepreneurs across Africa.
“Your dedication to service to the development of Nigeria has today earned you the Julius Nyerere Outstanding Honour 2023,” Okewu said.
In his appreciation, Arc Hassan Giwa lauded the leadership of YAPE-AFRICA for finding him worthy of the honour.
The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadan said that the honour is a call to do more, and continue contributing his quota to the development of Africa, Nigeria and youths in particular.
The renowned philanthropist dedicated the honour to all youths for their selfless contributions to the growth and development of economic in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Others who received the same honour were Mr Okezie Ikpeazu, former governor of Abia State and Hamid Joda, Chief Executive Officer of Taj Bank.
