Popular Yoruba actress Wumi Toriola has shared her thoughts on reconciling with her ex-husband and her outlook on marriage after their separation.
Speaking in an interview on Oyinmomo TV’s YouTube channel, the actress revealed her deep affection for the institution of marriage and expressed her willingness to reunite with her ex-husband, if the opportunity arises.
Toriola, whose marriage ended shortly after it began, explained that despite the challenges, she still values the idea of marriage.
She maintained that her primary concern in any future relationship is her happiness.
“The most important thing is to be happy in any marriage I find myself. If my happiness is guaranteed, I will get married again,” she said.
When asked about the possibility of returning to her ex-husband, Toriola responded confidently, “I will go back to my husband if he wants me back because I don’t see myself as a single mother. My husband has been actively involved in taking care of our child, and I have been fulfilling my role as a mother.”
The actress downplayed the notion of being a single mother, attributing her success to her hard work and the co-parenting efforts of her ex-husband.
She stressed that, despite their separation, they both remain committed to raising their child together.
Toriola’s candid remarks about marriage and her readiness to embrace reconciliation highlight her enduring belief in love and family, while also addressing the misconceptions surrounding her role as a single mother.
