In an unconventional love story that has captured attention, Arube Otor, a popular Isoko highlife musician, has tied the knot with three women on the same day.
Known as “Isoko Fela,” Otor shared his journey, rooted in cultural tradition and personal conviction, during an exclusive interview.
Speaking in an interview with the Punch Newspaper, Otor revealed that his father’s polygamous lifestyle inspired him.
“My father married three women, and we lived as one united family. That experience shaped my perspective on marriage,” he said.
According to him, the love and unity among his brides made the simultaneous wedding feasible.
Otor’s marital journey began with his first wife, who supported his decision to expand their family.
“There’s no secret among us. All my wives knew each other before the wedding and embraced the plan wholeheartedly,” he noted.
The musician believes in creating harmony within his home by treating his wives equally.
“We all live together in one compound. I ensure fairness and share everything equally,” he explained,
He added that he balances love and attention through a rotational schedule.
Despite societal perceptions, Otor remains steadfast in his beliefs.
“God rules my life, not humans. Everyone is free to live their life according to what works for them,” he remarked.
His unique approach to marriage, shaped by tradition and personal principles, underscores his philosophy of living authentically.
The grand wedding is set for January 19, 2025, in Uzere, Delta State.
Looking ahead, Otor plans to marry two more wives, bringing his total to six. For now, he continues to manage his growing family with determination and faith, advising others to follow their hearts in matters of love and marriage.
