Filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has referred to himself and his younger brother Gabriel as “a dynamic duo in Nigerian entertainment”. The younger Afolayan plays a lead role in his brother’s soon-to-be-released series, ‘Anikulapo – Rise Of The Spectre’.
According to Kunle, Nigeria is often celebrated as the giant of Africa for its rich cultural heritage, especially in the film and entertainment industry. He noted that with the country’s vibrant industry overflowing with talent, he and his brother have made an indelible mark each in their own unique way.
“The synergy between this award-winning director and renowned actor is nothing short of a blessing to this generation. What makes the Afolayan brothers even more remarkable is their collaboration. When Kunle takes the director’s chair and Gabriel steps in front of the camera, magic happens. Their joint efforts have given rise to some of Nigeria’s most memorable films like ‘Hanatu’, ‘Citation’ and most recently ‘Ijogbon’.
“But be on the lookout for ‘Anikulapo – Rise Of The Spectre’. As we look to the future, we can only anticipate more outstanding collaborations and groundbreaking projects from these two remarkable brothers,” he wrote on Instagram.
Earlier in the year, Afolayan announced that he has wrapped up production for the ‘Anikulapo’ Series. According to the award-winning film producer, the production is a result of hard work, dedication, and countless hours of collaboration.
He further stated that the anticipated series marks a significant milestone in his journey, and his team couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of a talented cast, crew, and the entire KAP Group.
“From the early stages of pre-production, where ideas were born and scripts came to life, to the exciting moments on set, and the meticulous post-production processes, every step of this production has been a testament to the passion and dedication that drives us,” he said.
