A 47-year-old nurse, Ejezie Udochukwu, has spoken about the devastating loss of his three young children, who were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a freezer at their home in Nnewichi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

In an emotional interview in the Punch Newspaper, Udochukwu revealed that his wife had left the children—Chikaima (9), Chimziterem Dominica (8), and Chimdirim David (5)—at home on February 1, 2025, while she went for an official assignment.

When she returned around 5 p.m., she was alarmed to find the doors wide open and the house unusually silent. A desperate search ensued, stretching late into the evening before the children’s lifeless bodies were discovered stuffed inside a disused freezer.

Udochukwu, who resides in Edo State and visits his family regularly, described the pain as unbearable.

“Every parent understands the pain of losing a child, but losing three at once is unimaginable,” he said, recalling his children’s brilliance and innocence.

Although no visible injuries were found on the bodies, they were reportedly bleeding from the nose. The police have launched an investigation, and while no arrests have been made, Udochukwu expressed confidence in the authorities’ ability to deliver justice.

The grieving father emphasized that he would not let the tragedy erase the memory of his children, stating, “They were a special gift to me. I will never forget them.”
