President-elect Bola Tinubu has condemned the attack on a US consulate convoy in Anambra state.
This is contained in a statement issued by Tunde Rahman, Tinubu’s spokesperson, on Friday, saying the president-elect promised to bring the “perpetrators to book.

Anambra police spokesperson, Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed the killing of two police officers and two staff of the consulate during the attack.
According to Tochukwu, the bodies of the victims were said to have been set ablaze by the gunmen.
Tinubu however assured Nigerians of giving high premium on security of lives and property on his assumption of office.
“President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu is deeply shocked to learn of the attack on United States Embassy convoy just hours after his telephone call with the Secretary of State Antony Blinken,” the statement reads.
“He expresses his sympathy and condolences to the US Government and families of the four personnel killed in the horrific attack at Ogabru, Anambra State.
“President-elect Tinubu has been making his own enquiries into the persons responsible and their motives and will do all he can to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
“Security is one of the cardinal issues on the agenda of Asíwájú Tinubu and will give it priority attention on the resumption of office, which is why it featured prominently in his discussion with Secretary Blinken.”
