Supplementary Poll: Group Alleges Plan By Oyo PDP,  To Rig In Connivance With Compromised INEC Officials

The Integrity Group (TIG) has uncovered plans by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State to rig the upcoming April 15th election.

In a shocking revelation, the group warned INEC of a plot by the Oyo State PDP to malign the upcoming election with compromised INEC officials.

The PDP is reportedly planning to buy votes, intimidate voters, and adopt voter suppression tactics in their favor and by using these illegal means to ensure their victory.

According to reports, the PDP has instructed its members from all over the state to come and vote for the PDP party at the Supplementary election Units irrespective of their registered polling unit.

It is claimed that the PDP has allegedly made arrangements to allow such voters to vote upon identification with distributed wrist bands.

In response to these allegations, the spokesperson for the Intergrity Group, Mr. Kazeem Badmus, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant parties to take necessary action.

He warned that the PDP’s plans to accept voters from other units and wards to be validated and accredited to vote would compromise the integrity of the election.

Mr. Kazeem also alleged that the PDP plans to intimidate voters and restrict the movement of citizens to the polling unit unless they are identified as a member of the party. He urged INEC to ensure that the election is free, fair, and credible, and to take appropriate measures to prevent the PDP from rigging the election.

The Intergrity Group warned that the PDP’s plans to manipulate the election could lead to a breakdown of law and order, and called on security agencies to be on high alert to prevent any form of violence or unrest during the election.

The Intergrity Group is committed to promoting free and fair elections and will continue to monitor the situation closely, to ensure that the will of the people is respected and upheld.
Contacted for comments, the PDP denied the allegations, saying they are baseless and unfounded.

The party stated that it is committed to a peaceful and transparent election and called on all parties to abide by the rules of the game.
