Bishop Seun Adeoye, General Overseer of Sufficient Grace and Truth International Ministries, has expressed his admiration for the University of Ilesa (UNILESA) in Osun State, as well as Bells University of Technology, Otta, and Landmark University, Omu-Aran, for their remarkable initiatives in providing tuition-free courses.
In a statement released on Sunday in Okinni, Osun State, the cleric, who also serves as the International Communication Director of the Worldwide Anglican Church (WAC), lauded UNILESA for its decision to offer all 18 of its education-related courses at no cost to students, from admission through to graduation.
According to Bishop Adeoye, this bold move is a significant milestone in making education accessible to all.
He further highlighted that Bells University and Landmark University have been offering tuition-free agricultural programs for several years, applauding their continued commitment to fostering interest in vital fields like Education and Agriculture.
“These generous actions are not only commendable but also serve as an inspiration for youths to pursue these critical fields. As Nigeria’s population grows, the demand for skilled professionals in Education and Agriculture will inevitably rise,” the bishop stated.
Bishop Adeoye also called on parents to encourage their children to take advantage of these opportunities.
He urged other tertiary institutions across Nigeria to follow the lead of these universities, stating that, in light of the financial strain many families are experiencing, such initiatives could be a lifeline for students struggling to afford higher education.
