The Miss Parliament International Board has announced its plans to organize the 1st edition of the Miss Parliament Nigeria Beauty Pageant (MPBP) between June 12th and 19th, 2026.
The event with the theme “Turning Beauty into success” will be held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.”
The MPI Admin/Program Officer, Agene Victoria Onyaole explained that the showcase of upcoming project scheduled for June this year is intended to give Nigerian female youths the opportunity to participate and exhibit their talents, thus empowering them to become self reliant.

The goal she added is also to inform, educate, and sensitize the youths on legislative processes, principles, and responsibilities as well as create new messaging lines that would reduce tension.
According to her, it is also aimed at repositioning Nigeria as Africa’s investment destination thereby winning back fleeing investors and development partners.
She further reiterated that the project will serve as a reliable platform for bringing the parliamentarians and their constituents together, particularly the youths, to chart a new course for our dear nation irrespective of their political ideologies or party differences.
According to Agene, “MPBP exudes class, responsibility, excellence, patriotism and influence as well as advocates and showcases Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, good moral behaviours, beauty and brain within an atmosphere devoid of indecent dressing, sexual harassment and other forms of immorality that are prevalent in the society that has made it almost unattractive for the morally upright individuals to take part in beauty pageantries”, she said.
The event promises to be impactful as the initiative would focus on empowering both undergraduate and graduate females in Nigeria, whose ages range from 18 to 35, to work towards a more promising future for themselves, their families, and their communities in line with the United Nations’ Global Goals for Women and Girls, she said.
The event will be attended by both individuals, personalities, government, and private organisations, which would come from the 36 states of the federation and the FCT
The event will begin with registration of contestants from the 20th of January until May 20th
The event will close with a grand finale.
The preliminary selections will commence May 25th – June 1st, at selected locations across the country.
Winners in zones will qualify to contest at the final phase in Abuja, from June 12th – 18th. The grand finale will take place in Abuja, on June 19th, 2026.
The last day will feature the opening ceremony and would have speeches, goodwill messages, and addresses from leaders, stakeholders, and the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The event will continue with the announcement of the Miss Parliament Nigeria Beauty Queen, 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, and presentations of Star and other consolation prizes to winners and facilitators in the project.
