The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, was in Plateau State on Saturday to visit and condole with the victims of the deadly attack occured in three communities in the state.
WesternLifeNewsNG recalls that gunmen, on Christmas eve, attacked 25 communities of the state and left over 150 persons dead, over 3000 displaced and many properties destroyed.
Sadly, no arrest has been made by security agencies till this moment.
The local government affected are Bokkos, Mangu and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas, also left property worth millions of naira destroyed.
On arrival, Obi was reportedly headed to the camps of the Internally Displaced Persons in Bokkos around 4 p.m.
He was received by the Local Government Chairman, Monday Kassam.
After observing a minute of silence, he condoled the Internally Displaced Persons in the camps and promised to send N10 million into the IDP support account as managed by a committee set up by TIC Chairman, Bokkos LG.
He was also promised to talk with other partners to send in support into the IDP account as well as pray for the peace of Bokkos that the ugly incident does not occur again.
