Addressing security concerns, Mr. Sunday Odukoya, Executive Assistant to Governor Makinde on Security, commended the Speaker’s efforts and noted that Oyo State remains one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states due to the governor’s and Assembly’s commitment to security.

He noted the establishment of the Amotekun security corps and the provision of patrol vehicles as key initiatives.

Mr Odukoya urged traditional leaders to collaborate with the government to combat issues like kidnapping and illegal mining.

He mentioned the governor’s efforts in resolving the farmers/herders clashes in areas such as Igangan and Iganna.

Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin, represented by Engr. Falade, assured that the Ido-Eruwa road would soon be completed and announced upcoming rehabilitation projects for inner roads in the constituency.

Dr. Debo Akande, Director-General of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA), confirmed that funding for the Eruwa Farm Estate had been approved, and work on the Fasola Farm Estate was near completion.

He clarified that the Farm Estate lands would benefit the entire Ibarapaland, not individuals.

Provost of the Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, representing the Commissioner for Education, and Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, also lauded the Speaker’s initiatives.

Mr Adegoke stressed the importance of such town hall meetings for accountability and urged continued support for Governor Makinde’s administration.

The event saw attendance from Oyo Assembly lawmakers, traditional rulers, religious and political leaders, market stakeholders, artisans, and students from across the constituency.
