Isaac Omodewu, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has passed away at the age of 61.
Mr Omodewu reportedly died in the early hours of today in the United States after a prolonged illness.
A prominent figure in Oyo State politics, Omodewu served as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, as well as Commissioner for Lands and Housing, under the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Hailing from the Itesiwaju Local Government Area of the Oke-Ogun geo-political zone, Omodewu was elected APC chairman in 2021.
He recently completed a law degree and attended law school.
