The struggle to win a race like that of contesting for the job of Presidency of a country is not a child’s play. It takes a lots. It takes using money, time, experience, preparation and relationships. You don’t just come in to the ring when you don’t have what it takes.
In a country like ours with diverse culture, languages and religion you must get well prepared. You must understand that winning the contest you must be ready to put in all your efforts including studying and understanding the kinds of people you want to lead.
You should be prepared for challenges such as criticisms, vilifications, stone throwing, insults and abuse. If you are not ready for all these, don’t just come near to it.
Even at a lower level of political office contest or nomination, you are exposed to a lot of attacks. What you don’t cook will be credit to you as the one who prepared it. People will dig to your past to know your beginning. The ones you think you know they will open it, the ones you are hiding they will help you to open it. Honestly you must be ready.
Criticism is good. It serves as a tool to put the players or operators on their toes to do the right thing at the right time however it must be healthy and constructive. Before one could criticise, there is a need think deep by considering the kind of player, what prompted a decision, the nature of the system otherwise your criticism may come back to hunt you.
If you can’t defend your criticisms, nemesis could one day make you to come and defend it.
Bosun Tijani a young Nigerian nominee for the position of a Ministerial job did not know such an opportunity could come his way in his lifetime when he was throwing banters against his country.
Records have it that he was a leading member of the Endsars protesters. He once condemned his country’s passport, once referred to his country’s Senators as Morons and today has to stand before the Morons who are to determine his fate to be one of the leaders of the country he was condemning.
Do we say the President who had nominated him for the post of this Ministerial job is foolish?.
When you want to pass through a path in life, don’t say it is bad because that path may be the only one you need to pass through to get to your promise land. Others are studying and watching you.
We are in the age of internet technology where records can be documented and archived easily for future references.
The Bible says “youths guide your mouth” as that is one of the keys to your success. You can’t condemn a system and still believe you can benefit from it.
That the President do appoint Bosun does not make him foolish except you don’t agree with me that one of the best weapons to win your critics and keep them shut is to bring them on board with you and be part of what you are doing. Their performances will show whom they are. Critic’s don’t perform.
Festus Keyamo SAN faced stiff opposition at the Senate during his screening despite that he is an erstwhile Minister of State in the last administration and a frontliner in Asiwaju’s struggle for presidency
One of the Senators brought out his past on one of his utterances against the House of Representatives and demanded that he should go back to the HoR. The Senate has records of his disregard for the National Assembly.
If not for the intervention of the President through the Senate Predident, may be this opportunity could have been a forgotten issue. At the end he has no choice than to swallow his pride and apologise to the whole House. I hope he would have learnt a lesson.
The case of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida IBB and Tai Solarin also comes to mind.
Tai Solarin by his educational standard was a good Critic of IBB during his days of leadership but with wisdom IBB appointed him to lead a fraction of the nation’s economy based on his own suggestion and idea and alas he failed. He thought leadership is being done by the letters of the books. Since then his mouth were locked up.
If Bosun Tijani knew that he will one day come down to apologise to his country and the Morons may be he wouldn’t have been condemning them thereby blaming his actions and misbehaviour on childish exuberances.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is s pragmatic human, a leader with large heart who knows how to harness resources together. He knows how to utilise people with both good and bad traits to achieve what he wants. As a matter of fact he is a listener. He knew why he has nominated Bosun Tijani.
Asiwaju knew Iyiola Omisore is not be a good material for any post but allowed the voice of Kayode Fayemi to have the way only because he is able to convince him on omidire’s participation in the rerun election that saw Oyetola coasted to the Governor’s house and today Omisore had proved the kind of person he is. Take it or leave it, Asiwaju is vindicated and Iyiola Omisore is done with any political position in Nigeria.
Where is Rauf Aregbesola today.
Rauf is a defacto Tinubu whom everybody must see before they can see Tinubu but his devilish mindsets could not be hidden forever. For you to pray that God should bring down your benefactor is a high level of betrayal.
Asiwaju’s nomination of Bosun Tijani was with a purpose not minding his past misbehaviour. Do we say that Asiwaju doesn’t know that Bosun was in the Endsars picture which was an arrangement targeted towards him.
Now that Bosun is being nominated and pardoned by the Morons, we want to see how he will now criticise Tinubu, criticise his country and how he will now see the Senators whether as Morons or otherwise.
There are many talented youths like Bosun still in the system painting this country black and if they think nothing good can come out of the country for them, they should be making a lot of mistakes. You don’t know what nature has in stock for you, so don’t condemn your country. Bosun Tijani should serve as a lesson to others.
Is the President therefore foolish?
