… Assures NLCF/YPM members of adequate compensation for their efforts towards enthronement of present government
The national coordinator of the Next-level Consolidation Forum/Yoruba Patriots Movement (YPM) Hon Oladosu Oladipo GCCF, has urged Nigerians to be patience with the president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in view of the current disquieting situations in the country, epitomized by high inflation caused by astronomical cost of living.
This according to him, has resulted to high prices of stapple food items for daily consumption, high cost of the pump price of fuel for transportation and industrial use by manufacturers, epileptic power supply and outages for domestic, high exchange rate of naira to dollar and other foreign currencies.
Barrister Oladipo who is also the national president of the Yoruba Patriots Movement made this remarks during a stakeholders meeting of NLCF and YPM held in his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo state capital on Wednesday.
He told the gathering of the president’s sincerity of purpose in tackling the economic comatose presently raging in the country.
“As the President navigates the challenging tasks of forming a cohesive administration that serves the interests of all, it’s crucial for all the members of Tinubu Next-level Movement (TNM) and all Nigerians to exercise patience and consider the broader context of providing the conducive business environment for productivity by both the on-shore and off- shore investors to invest in Nigeria”, he said.
On the commitment and sacrifices made by members of YPM and Next-level Tinubu’s supporters before, during and after the 2023 elections, Barrister Oladipo assured them that their contributions shall not go unnoticed, and they will be well compensated in due course.
He added that in an entrogenous ethnic diversity nation like Nigeria, with over 200 million people, it is important to recognize that the process of forming a government requires meticulous consideration and strategic decision-making to ensure the best individuals are appointed for each role.
The NLCF/YPM Leader added, “at present, with only ministerial appointments constituting a fraction of the overall appointments, it is understandable that some supporters, highly educated, politically skilful and competent members of Next-level/YPM, may feel overlooked, but they should know that this stage is just a part of the larger things to come later, hence the need for patience.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress however commended President Tinubu for the visionary steps and pragmatic leadership so far demonstrated in progressive governance.
According to a communique read after the meeting, “members agreed that comprehensive governance requires a diverse array of skills, experiences, and expertise, which extends beyond political loyalty alone.
“The meeting agreed therefore agreed that appointments must be made based on competence, experience, and the ability to effectively deliver on the government’s agenda.
“The meeting assured Mr President that all these virtues and ability to deliver are available in the right quantum with correct patriotic spirit, energy and blood for Mr President to choose in running an efficient and effective Government beyond 2027.
“It was further reiterated that comprehensive robust representation of Next-level Consolidation Forum members in board appointments while ministerial people hold visible spotlight, numerous other roles within the government influence policies and decision-making should be judiciously made.
“To ensure the success of President Tinubu’s government, expertise from various fields must continue to be integrated, reflecting the diversity of Nigeria’s needs for the Next-level glorious position and prosperity in the atmosphere of peace security and prosperity for Nigeria and all Nigerians regardless of creed, tribe or tongue.
“On prioritizing policy Implementation, we noted that the President’s initial focus was on policy formulation and implementation rather than appointments. We therefore suggested that well-structured policy agenda will undoubtedly pave the way for more inclusive and comprehensive appointments with the most desirable
long-term Impact rather than immediate gratification.
“Our members across the country should recognize that patience can lead to better long-term outcomes. Strategic appointments that enhance governance capabilities can lead to rapid systematic and a more sustainable and impactful results for Democracy Prosperity Deliverables for all.
“Finally, Hon Oladosu Oladipo allayed the fears of members that while it is natural for us – Tinubu’s loyal supporters – to expect timely recognition and political rewad, it is equally important to appreciate the intricacies of governance and the need for strategic, merit-based appointments because
the president’s goal is to build an administration that not only respects political loyalty but also prioritizes competence, transparency, and progress.
“While the meeting called on members to give our principal,
President Bola Tinubu the space and time needed to carefully assemble his team, we equally charged all other Tinubu’s supporters to do likewise by exercising, in order to enjoy an uninterrupted life more abundant agenda in Re-newed Hope 2023.
