The royal family of Oba Lekan Balogun, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, over the passing of his elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.
In a statement released on behalf of the late Olubadan royal family, Aremo Femi Balogun described the death of Engr. Sunday Makinde as a significant loss, not only to the Makinde family but also to the entire Oyo State.
“Engr. Sunday Makinde was a man of integrity, compassion, and commitment, whose legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. His passing is a personal tragedy for the Makinde family and a loss to the people of Oyo State,” the statement read.
The royal family assured Governor Makinde of their solidarity during this difficult time and prayed for the Almighty to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“May the enduring memories of Engr. Sunday Makinde’s impactful life provide solace and encouragement,” the statement concluded.
Engr. Sunday Makinde passed away last week, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication that will be fondly remembered.
