The Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Oyo State Chapter, Deputy Commandant General Evang. (Dr.) Julius Adeyemi Ogunkojo, has joined the growing list of prominent voices congratulating the Olubadan-designate, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his historic ascension to the throne of Ibadanland.
Speaking with journalists at the Bodija residence of the Olubadan-designate, Commandant Ogunkojo extolled Oba Ladoja as a worthy leader, exemplary father of the masses, and a beacon of admiration and emulation.
According to the Legion boss, his admiration for Oba Ladoja dates back over three decades, during which he had observed the monarch’s enduring qualities of perseverance, truthfulness, and selfless service to humanity.
“For more than 30 years, I have seen in him a man of endurance and integrity, a father to the people, and a leader whose life reflects the virtues of perseverance and sincerity. Today, God has exalted him to the throne of his forefathers, and it is only right to celebrate and congratulate him,” he stated.
Ogunkojo emphasized that the ascension of Oba Ladoja is not only a blessing to Ibadanland but also to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, adding that his reign is expected to usher in a new era of peace, progress, and development.
“With faith in God and in the leadership of the new Olubadan, we are confident that Ibadanland will witness unprecedented growth and good governance. The best is yet to come for our people under his reign,” the Legion chairman assured.
He concluded by reiterating the Nigerian Legion’s unwavering support and prayers for Oba Ladoja’s reign, while expressing optimism that his time on the throne would further cement his legacy as a leader deeply loved and admired by the people.
