Residents of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA have overwhelmingly chosen Hon. Seyi Jakande as their next Chairman, following a commanding victory at the Lagos State Local Government elections held on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Jakande, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged victorious with 58,446 votes, according to official results announced by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
His closest rivals — the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) — recorded 1,743 and 1,464 votes respectively.
The outcome reflects a powerful expression of the electorate’s confidence in Jakande’s vision and leadership capacity, as well as a strong endorsement of the APC’s grassroots influence in the LCDA.
In his post-election remarks, Jakande expressed gratitude to the people, assuring them of a people-oriented administration that will prioritize community development, inclusive policies, and infrastructural advancement.
The election was part of a broader state-wide exercise conducted across all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos.
