Fatman Scoop, best known for his energetic presence and his hit “Be Faithful,” was headlining the Green & Gold Party in Hamden, Connecticut. The event took a tragic turn about an hour into his performance, which had started around 7:15 p.m. last night.
While performing shirtless, Scoop made his way behind the DJ’s booth before suddenly collapsing and disappearing from the audience’s view. Immediate efforts were made to resuscitate the 53-year-old, with chest compressions being administered on the spot, but sadly, these efforts were unsuccessful.
