The Association of Traditional Baale Ibadanland has warmly congratulated the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akinloye Ige Iyanda Owolabi Olakunlehin I, on his recent coronation.
The event which took place on July 12, 2024, also witnessed the presentation of the staff of office to the new Olubadan by His Excellency, Governor Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde of Oyo State.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Baale Olohunde Durojaiye Bamitale Ige (JP), the association praised the new Olubadan as a role model with exceptional endurance and exemplary qualities.
The association highlighted his perseverance and integrity, describing him as embodying the true spirit of “Omoluabi.”
The association also extended its commendation to Governor Makinde for his pivotal role in the successful coronation and his efforts in realizing this significant achievement. They wished him continued wisdom and strength for future endeavors.
Gratitude was also expressed to Barrister Ajewole Ajeniyi, President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes.
Ajewole was praised for his leadership and coordination in the construction of the new Ultra-Modern Palace, which stands as a magnificent symbol of pride and prestige for the people of Ibadan.
The association also rejoiced with the Olubadan in Council, High Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, Royal Majesties, Royal Highnesses, Mogajis, Baales, and all Ibadan indigenes, both at home and abroad.
