Chief Afolabi Kayode Kadelu, the Oota Olubadan of Ibadanland and Mogaji of Ile Kadelu, has expressed optimism that the long-anticipated creation of Ibadan State will materialize, even as he acknowledged the peace and development being currently experience in the city under the reign of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Igede I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Speaking to reporters recently in Ibadan, Chief Kadelu reaffirmed his unwavering belief that despite the delays in actualizing Ibadan State, the process remains on course.
He assured that discussions and initiatives toward its realization are actively progressing and expressed hope that, by divine grace, the dream would soon be fulfilled.
“It is our prayer that Ibadan State comes to fruition under His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Olakulehin,” Chief Kadelu stated.
He stated that the creation of Ibadan State has been long overdue but remains a priority. With ongoing deliberations, he expressed confidence that the long-cherished aspiration of Ibadan people will soon become a reality.
