Ibadan Based Industrialist Praises Gov. Makinde At Ibadan Cultural Festival

At the first-ever Ibadan Cultural Festival Week, tagged “Orekelewa” and held on May 31, 2024, Chief Mrs. Alhaja Simiat Adeleke Larodo, a notable industrialist and esteemed daughter of Ibadan, lauded the commendable achievements of Governor Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde.

The event, which took place at the Asiwaju Bode Amoo Hall, Ibadan House, brought together many distinguished guests to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan.

Speaking with journalists at the lobby of the event, Chief Larodo highlighted Governor Makinde’s significant contributions to the development and beautification of Ibadan.

She expressed deep admiration for the governor’s dedication to promoting the glory of Ibadanland, noting several transformative projects initiated under his administration.

Among these, she emphasized the construction of the first-ever Olubadan Palace, a modern and international-standard edifice located behind the CCII Ibadan House.

This landmark achievement, she said, is a testament to the Governor’s vision and commitment.

Chief Mrs. Larodo described Governor Makinde as a divine blessing to Ibadanland, crediting his administration with numerous visible advancements in both Ibadan and the broader Oyo State.

The business woman also remarked on Makinde’s kindness, concern, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and progress of his people.

According to her, these accomplishments are the fruition of the long-offered prayers of Ibadan’s sons and daughters, which have found favor in the eyes of God.

She concluded her speech with heartfelt prayers for Governor Makinde, asking for continued divine support for his efforts to improve the lives of the citizens.

Chief Mrs. Larodo expressed hope that the governor will continue in these significant strides in order to bring greater height to Oyo State.
