Tinubu, who left the country on a working visit to Europe shortly after the meeting, is expected to “finetune the transition plans and programmes” during the trip.

During the visit, the President-elect will engage investors and other key allies with the goal of marketing investment opportunities in the country and his administration’s readiness to enable a business-friendly climate through policies and regulations.

“Already, meetings with multi-sectoral actors in Europe’s business community including manufacturing, agriculture, tech and energy have been lined up.

“The President-elect hopes to convince them of Nigeria’s readiness to do business under his leadership through mutually-beneficial partnerships premised on jobs creation and skills acquisition,” the statement read in part.

The ruling party also adopted the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Jibrin Barau, as the next Deputy Senate President.

The APC zoned the Senate presidency to the South-South and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to the North-West.

In the Green Chamber, the seat of Speaker of the House of Representatives was zoned to a Kaduna lawmaker, Tajudeen Abbas, while Ben Kalu, a reps-elect from South-East, clinched the Deputy Speaker slot.
