The Coalition for A Better Nigeria has saluted Muslim faithful across the country on the just concluded Ramadan fasting and celebration of Eid-el-fitr.
The group in a statement signed by its national co-ordinator, Comrade Awa Bamiji, said this year’s Eid -el – fitri celebration is a double blessing for the the whole World, urging Muslims to remain committed to the teachings and lessons of Ramadan throughout their individual lives.
The statement read in part, “We must embrace peaceful co – existence anywhere we find ourselves and all hands must be on deck to ensure that our individual communities are totally secure. It’s high time we said enough is enough to insecurity in this country”.
While hoping for successful transition to the new government, the group prayed that Nigerians would have cause to rejoice for electing former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu as the president.
“We pray for the incoming administration of the President – Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be raised and fully empowered by divine wisdom throughout its tenure so that we, Nigerians, at the end of the day, would have cause to thank Almighty God, for giving us the right person, former Governor of Lagos State, as our President”, the statement added.
In another development, the coalition felicitated with former Publicity Secretary, Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG) Kunle Famoriyo, Oyo State APC Chairman, Isaac Omodewu and senator elect, Sarafa Alli on the birthday celebration of 70th, 60th, and 60th respectively.
The coalition also sympathised with the people and government of Ogun state over the demise of late former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Bola Ajibola, who it said left indellible foot prints in the sand of time.
