In furtherance of his empowerment project, a renowned philanthropist and Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadan land, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Olawale Giwa in conjunction with Victoria Florence Rita Foundation (FLORITA) has distributed confectionary equipment to some women in Akinyele Local Government.
Presenting the certificates and equipment to the beneficiary on Sunday, the Asiwaju Adini of Ibadan land, disclosed that what is important in this life is to extend good gestures to those who are in need.
Arc Giwa maintained that the gesture will contribute positively to the life of the beneficiaries by improving their business and standard of living.
The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation expressed that he sponsored the initiative by FLORITA because it is in line with the vision and mission of his foundation, which is to create brighter opportunities for the people.
He appealed to others who are yet to benefit to keep hope alive, as he promised not to relent in his oars in contributing his quota to uplift the poor and less privileged people in the society by supporting their education and businesses to make life meaningful and worthy to live.
In his address, Mrs. Adegbuyi Victoria, who trained the beneficiary women, commended Arc Hassan Giwa for his ingenuity towards making life meaningful to the masses and contribution to the development of society.
Mrs Victoria commended Arc Giwa for his selfless service, whose personality is worthy of emulation.
She said that the programme is basically for the women who have been in the business but needed assistance to upgrade it.
Also speaking during the event, Alhaji Isiaka Alimi praised the philanthropic gesture of Arc Giwa and prayed that almighty God continues to guard and guide him.
He charged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment to improve their businesses.
The beneficiaries were trained on how to make chin-chin, plantain chips and other forms of confectionaries expressed their appreciation to the sponsor of the programme and trainer, and assured them to make good use of the equipment.
