Awise Adewale Bogumbe, a distinguished Nigerian-American of Yoruba descent, has passionately highlighted the significance of Isese, a traditional Yoruba belief system.
Addressing newsman during the Isese day celebration In Ibadan, Oyo state capital on Tuesday, Bogumbe articulated that Isese represents the true essence of an individual’s origin.
He emphasized that embracing Isese could significantly simplify the challenges one faces in life.
According to him, those who acknowledge the truth of Isese are shielded from life’s adversities, such as problems, destruction, and ruin.
Bogumbe further asserted that there is a profound sense of unity and mutual understanding among traditionalists across the globe, particularly within the Yoruba community.
He attributed this cohesion to the widespread knowledge and practice of Isese, which has fostered a deeper connection among practitioners worldwide.
Bogumbe also extended his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for his unwavering support of Isese practitioners.
He specifically praised the governor for officially recognizing and declaring Isese Day as a public holiday, a move that has been widely celebrated by the Yoruba community.
Bogumbe also offered prayers for the continued success of Governor Makinde’s administration, expressing his hope that the governor’s endeavors would always be blessed by divine favour.
