The daughter of former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Ike Ekweremadu, Sonia says she disagrees with the sentence of her parents.
Sonia who is at the centre of organ havesting drama, in an interview with BBC, expressed shock of her parent’s arrest and ultimate conviction, adding that she will be biased in such a situation because she would always be on her parents’ side.
She disclosed that since the case began, she had gotten so many donors, however stated that though she was not involved in the search for a kidney.
WesternLifeNewsNG had reported that the former Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, Ike Ekweremadu, his wife and doctor, who acted as a middleman were sentenced to nine years and eight months, four and half years and ten years imprisonment respectively, for plotting to harvest a man’s kidney.
