Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, a member of the House of Representatives for Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, has attributed the peaceful atmosphere in Ekiti State, particularly during the ongoing #Endbadgovernance# protests, to the inclusive administration and effective leadership of Governor Oyebanji.
Kolawole, in a statement made available to newmen on Sunday, in Ado- Ekiti, maintained that Governor Oyebanji’s approach, which prioritises service over dictatorship, has garnered widespread support from the people of Ekiti, regardless of their political or religious affiliations.
This leadership style, according to Kolawole, has been pivotal in preventing any breakdown of law and order during the protests.
Commending the residents of Ekiti for their peaceful conduct, Kolawole noted that the populace’s appreciation for the developmental efforts initiated by the governor surpasses personal interests.
He highlighted the overwhelming support and admiration for Oyebanji’s administration, which has motivated the governor to continue his performance and developmental initiatives.
According to the lawmaker, “Oyebanji’s regular consultations with local leaders and youth groups have been instrumental in keeping the community informed about ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the state’s economic landscape. These engagements have fostered a positive and supportive environment across Ekiti.”
Kolawole also praised traditional rulers, religious groups, transport unions, market traders, civil service unions, and political leaders for their role in maintaining peace and urged them to continue their support.
He expressed confidence that the collective resolve to support Governor Oyebanji will drive unprecedented economic recovery and reintegration in the state.
Kolawole therefore assured the public that the APC government remains committed to implementing policies that promote the welfare and development of the nation.He called for patience and peace, urging Nigerians to support their leaders in their efforts to bring about nationwide progress.
