A chieftain of the Accord and House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Hon. Abidemi Ismail Lawal, has extended warm greetings to party members, leaders, and Nigerians following the successful celebration of Eid-el-Fitr and as Christians prepare for the forthcoming Easter festivities, urging unity and peaceful coexistence across religious lines.

In a goodwill message released on Saturday and made available to newsmen, Lawal congratulated Muslim faithful on the completion of the holy month of Ramadan, describing it as a period of spiritual discipline, sacrifice, and devotion.

He prayed that Almighty Allah accepts their service, forgives their shortcomings, and grants them peace, favour, and abundant blessings.

He also felicitated with Christians ahead of Easter, noting that the season symbolizes sacrifice, resurrection, and hope.

According to him, the period should inspire renewed faith, love, and selflessness among Nigerians.

Lawal emphasized that both Eid-el-Fitr and Easter share common values of unity, gratitude, and renewal, stressing the need for Nigerians to embrace religious tolerance and mutual respect for national development.

“These dual celebrations remind us of the importance of peaceful coexistence, which remains a critical foundation for the growth and progress of our society,” he said.

The Accord stalwart further noted that the festive period provides an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of unity among citizens and reinforce collective commitment to building a better nation.

He also prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection, and success for leaders and citizens alike as they strive for a more prosperous future.
