The Department of State Service will on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 arraign the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele before the Lagos division of the Federal High Court.
Emefiele is facing two counts of possession of a pump action rifle and 123 rounds of live cartridges.
The charges were filed by the Department of State Services (DSS) on July 13, 2023.

Emefiele was arrested in Lagos by the DSS on June 10, 2023, after he was suspended by President Bola Tinubu.
He was immediately flown to Abuja where he has been in the custody of the DSS since then.
The arraignment of Emefiele is scheduled to take place before Justice Nicholas Oweibo.
