Chief Dr. Niyi Odedele, a man of many hats, is a prominent figure in Nigeria’s healthcare, educational, and hospitality sectors.

As the Provost of Ajorosun College of Health Technology, Chief Medical Director of Beloved Medical Group, and Chief Executive Officer of Celebrity Hotel, Dr. Odedele manages to juggle his diverse roles with a clear sense of purpose and determination.

Dr. Odedele explained that his commitment to each field is rooted in careful planning and the delegation of responsibilities to capable hands.

“I see my patients in the morning and evening, attend to emergencies in the afternoon, and oversee my other ventures as needed,” he said.

His ability to manage these responsibilities is supported by a strong team, with managers running the day-to-day operations of his hotel and the head of department and lecturers handling the academic aspects of the college.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Odedele has a keen interest in public health.

He emphasized its importance, especially in the context of epidemics like cholera or COVID-19, which require coordinated efforts across local, state, national, and international levels.

He however praised the government’s efforts in public health but noted that there is always room for improvement.

Dr. Odedele is also a politician and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His motivation to join politics stems from a desire to see competent and educated individuals in positions of power.

However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of politics in Nigeria, describing it as being dominated by monetary influence rather than merit.

He advocates for a review of the political process to ensure that qualified individuals can lead effectively.

Looking ahead, Dr. Odedele has his sights set on a political career. He aspires to clinch a ticket for the Federal House of Representatives in 2027, where he hopes to bring his professional expertise and vision to bear on national governance.

“May God Almighty help me,” he concluded, expressing his determination to contribute positively to Nigeria’s political landscape.
