Dr. Igbokwe Joins in Honouring Oko Polytechnic Rector’s 100-Day Milestone

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Dr. Mrs. Basilia Nkemdilim Igbokwe, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, joined other dignitaries in Oko, Anambra State, to celebrate the 100 days in office of her counterpart, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko.

The celebration began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass at St. Augustine’s Chaplaincy, Oko, where guests gathered to reflect on Dr. Awuzie’s notable achievements during her first 100 days in office.

Among the high-profile attendees was the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, Ph.D., who joined in celebrating Dr. Awuzie’s leadership milestone.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Igbokwe commended Dr. Awuzie’s dedication and vision, describing her leadership as a shining example of the positive impact women continue to make in Nigeria’s educational landscape.

She stated the importance of supporting such leadership, warning that any efforts to stifle progress would only hamper institutional development and national growth.
