Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has strongly criticized the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Umar Abba, accusing him of failing to uphold the rule of law.
Davido made the remarks in a series of tweets on Monday, following the brutal killing of the sacked chairman of Irewole Local Government, Remi Abass, and two others by unknown gunmen at the council secretariat in Ikire.
Reports indicate that the assailants stormed the secretariat in broad daylight, unleashing gunfire that left the victims dead on the spot.
Reacting to the tragic incident, Davido lambasted the Osun police boss, calling him a “disgrace” and questioning his commitment to justice and security in the state.
“Mr. Umar Abba, Osun State Commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children! Game on. All of us go mad together. Werey,” Davido tweeted.
He further challenged the commissioner to uphold the law, warning that he would continue to publicly call him out.
“Mr. Commissioner, respect the rule of law. You are not madder or crazier than us. Make we all kuku mad. MEN MOUNT.
“I will post you every day, everywhere, Mr. man. Try me,” he added.
The Osun State Police Command is yet to officially respond to Davido’s comments.
