A High Court in Adamawa State has ordered the arrest of Hudu Yunusa Ari, the suspended Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC).
Justice Benjamin Manji Lawan directed the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to produce Ari in court immediately to face trial on three counts related to electoral misconduct.
The arrest warrant was issued following a request from the Adamawa State Government, citing that Ari unlawfully declared the APC governorship candidate, Aishatu Ahmed Binani, as the winner before the election results were fully collated.

Despite several attempts to serve Ari, he has evaded court appearances, prompting the issuance of the warrant.
