The Managing Director of Vatel Groups and initiator of Onilabu F’okole Foundation (OFF), Engr. Abdullahi Babatunde Azeez has sent his felicitation message to Christians all over the state on the occasion of this year’s Xmas celebration.
Engr. Azeez, in his message, urged Christian brethren to use the festive period to pray for Nigeria and Oyo State for prosperity, security and meaningful development.
The OFF initiator, who recently distributed food items and cash gift to about 150 people, said the rationale is to support them to cushion the effect of the present economic situation in the country.
Opomulero, as he is fondly called disclosed that there is high increase in the rate of poverty in the country owing to the ongoing economic reform by the government.
Engr. Azeez, therefore, said that it is important for those who have to share from affluence with have-not in the society to bridge the gap and make the life a worth living for all.
“To give is to help, to support and to reduce the wide gap between the rich and the poor especially in the festive period like this. We believe that if we can support people like that in the society, we have supported some families and they too we celebrate the Xmas with joy.
“Also, the gesture is one of the agenda of the foundation, Onilabu F’okole Foundation (OFF), which is aiming towards empowering lives and building the future.
“My message is that, I want to urge our Christian brothers and sisters to use this period to pray for our dear country, Nigeria and Oyo State. Let us continue to live in the atmosphere of peace, harmony and togetherness as we used to be.”
Engr. Azeez also used the medium to pray for the families of the children who lost their lives during the stampede incident at Islamic High School Basorun, Ibadan recently and the victims of Araromi-Gate fire incident.
“I pray that Almighty God gives the families the courage to surmount the challenge. And to the victims of fire incident, God will return your loss in multiple folds.”
