Chelsea are reportedly negotiating with Napoli to acquire Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen on a season-long loan, with Romelu Lukaku moving to Napoli as part of the deal.
The Lukaku transfer is expected to be permanent, while Osimhen’s potential move would include a loan with an option to buy.
If Lukaku’s transfer goes through, the 31-year-old Belgian striker will reunite with Napoli’s new head coach Antonio Conte, with whom he worked for two seasons at Inter Milan.
Lukaku spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Roma, scoring 21 goals in 47 matches across all competitions.
Osimhen has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli since his transfer from Lille in July 2020.
He scored 15 goals last season, despite Napoli’s struggle to match their previous season’s success when they clinched their first Scudetto since 1990.
