Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Isegun Igbalaloju District Headquarter, opposite New Gbagi, New Ife Road, Ibadan, marked its 43rd Founder’s Anniversary and Thanksgiving on July 14, 2024, at the church premises.
The event drew numerous industry leaders and successful businesspeople, especially from the petroleum sector.
Chief/Dr. Salimon Akanni Oladiti, the Church Patron and Chief Host, welcomed guests from various walks of life.
Pastor Michael Falowo, the District Superintendent, led other ministers and invited pastors in delivering sermons that focused on the importance of prioritizing life after death to prepare for eternal life.
Speaking with journalist, immediately after the event, Pastor Falowo revealed that despite the event being titled “Founder’s Anniversary and Thanksgiving,” its primary purpose, as directed by God, was to highlight “A Divine Visit of God” and emphasize the significance of the rapture.
He explained that the church had conducted a three-day revival prior to the event to prepare members for receiving God’s favor.
Pastor Falowo stressed that prayer is a vital communication between God and man, expressing that God, who abhors evil, answers prayers in His time.
He categorized prayers into three types: those with instant answers, those requiring patience, and those that God declines for the greater good.
He cited a biblical verse, “They asked and did not receive because they prayed amiss,” to illustrate that prayers driven by selfish desires are not answered by God.
Addressing the youth, Pastor Falowo advised against impulsive decisions driven by the “get-rich-quick” mentality, urging them to trust in God’s timing and guidance for their lives.
Among the dignitaries present was Chief Rasheed Oyetola, who praised Chief Oladiti for his philanthropy and benevolence.
He described Chief Oladiti as a rare and generous individual, committed to helping the less privileged. Chief Oyetola prayed for God’s blessings and long life for Chief Oladiti.
The anniversary celebration underscored the church’s commitment to spiritual growth and community support, leaving attendees inspired and hopeful.
