The Vice Chancellor of Bowen University, Professor Jonathan Oyebamiji Babalola, has lauded Globacom for its ongoing commitment to providing digital services that enhance the institution’s operations.
Speaking at a recent business meeting held with Globacom’s Enterprise Business Team on the university’s campus in Iwo, Osun State, Professor Babalola expressed his satisfaction with the existing partnership and conveyed interest in expanding collaboration with the telecommunications giant.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the positive impact of Globacom’s digital solutions on the university’s infrastructure and operations.
He also encouraged the company to support Bowen University further through corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects focused on advancing the university’s goals and fostering progress.
Adeniyi Odejobi, Enterprise Business Lead at Globacom, reinforced the company’s commitment to being a leader in digital solutions across Nigeria.
He explained that Globacom serves a broad clientele, including enterprises, SMEs, government agencies, and educational institutions, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s telecommunications growth over the past two decades.
“Globacom has transformed the telecommunications industry in Nigeria by pioneering affordable access to mobile services,” Odejobi remarked.
He added that the company’s initiatives, such as the Glo 1 international submarine cable and innovative digital services, have propelled digital accessibility across the country.
Odejobi urged Bowen University to explore more of Globacom’s services, such as the Glo Learning Management System (LMS), Toll-Free Data, and Mobility services, as tools to elevate the institution’s technological reach and educational capabilities.
